Art Building Hours

Regular Hours: Aug. 19–Dec. 13, 2024

Monday–Thursday: 7 a.m.–10 p.m.
Friday: 7 a.m.–5 p.m.
Saturday: 7 a.m.–5 p.m.
Sunday: 7 a.m.–10 p.m.

Swipe access with an ID card is not allowed for undergraduates during the summer. For exceptions, contact Senior Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs Eric Ligon at Eric.Ligon@unt.edu.

Art Annex Hours of Operation

ID-card swipe access only. The northside door facing West Mulberry Street is for access to ceramics classrooms and faculty offices; the southside door on West Sycamore Street is for access to the CVAD graduate studios.

The Art Building schedule for after regular hours is as follows.

Friday: Midnight–5 p.m. Note: The building is inaccessible from Friday, 5 p.m. to Saturday, 9 a.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m.–11:59 p.m.
Sunday: Midnight–11:59 p.m.

Art Building access for undergraduates granted after-hours access is as follows.

Art Building Access for Graduate Students

Access to the Art Building is available 24/7 during the long semesters for graduate students.
Access to specific areas is to be determined by programs in consultation with their department chairs.

UNT Public Safety Officer Hours

Each fall and spring semester, CVAD is funded to cover staffing of night-time Public Safety Officers, allowing current CVAD students to access the Art Building by swiping their valid UNT ID card after the college's regular operating hours. A UNT Public Safety Officer will be in the Art Building during the following hours.

Important: Swipe access requests will not be submitted to the UNT Access Control office until the day after UNT's census day of a long semester and can take up to 24 hours to be activated.
