For Undergraduates: CVAD Minors, 2020-2021
Updated: 05-02-2024; Minors PDF to download.
Minors include a minimum of 18 semester hours of coursework in art, with at least six semester hours in advanced courses: 3000 or 4000 level. At least nine semester hours of art must be completed at UNT. Approved minor course sequences — concentrations — are listed below; prerequisites are as stated in the UNT catalog.
Note: For all students pursuing majors and minors within the College of Visual Arts and Design, a 2.5-grade point average is required in all art courses. Additionally, a grade of C or above must be earned in all CVAD required courses — completed in residence or transferred to UNT — to be considered for credit toward a CVAD degree. A grade of D or below will not satisfy any art-based course requirements, electives or prerequisites.
