CVAD Galleries Calls for Entries in 61st Annual Voertman Art Competition and Exhibition

CVAD Galleries proudly announces the call for entries in the 61st Annual Voertman Art Competition

About the Competition

A time-honored tradition in CVAD, the competition was started in 1960 and was skipped only once in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Started by Paul Voertman, family founder of Voertman’s store, the exhibition is juried each year by an accomplished art professional and provides students with real-world experience. Since the inception of this competition, thousands of artists have exhibited their works, and hundreds have received cash prizes generously sponsored by Voertman’s store.

Exhibition:  Feb. 1–19, 2022 | Update: Reception and Awards: Feb. 9, noon
Cora Stafford Gallery, Art Building, Room 100

To Apply

All CVAD students may apply through UNT.SlideRoom.com from Nov. 8 through Dec. 3, 2021. Late submissions will not be accepted. Works in the show must be picked up Feb. 23-25.

There is a $5 SlideRoom fee plus a $5 entry fee per artwork, up to five per email address, which makes it a minimum of $10 and a maximum of $30.
