Passionate about preparing the next generation of fashion designers, Cynthia Gentzel is committed to fostering creativity and innovation. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes practical, hands-on learning, grounded in real-world experiences and projects to deepen students' understanding of fashion design and industry techniques. As an educator, her goal is to guide and mentor students, helping them reach their full potential as curious, lifelong learners.
Gentzel holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design from the University of North Texas. With over two decades of experience in the fashion industry, she has built a diverse career encompassing design, product development, merchandising, and patternmaking across various apparel categories and price points.
Before entering the fashion field, Gentzel earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Education from the University of Regina. Her background in education, with experience teaching students from middle school to college level, enriches her ability to deliver focused and organized instruction. She engages learners by providing them with essential skills for their chosen career paths.
