Black has taught Core drawing and figure drawing at UNT since 2003. She was a crew member for the Sol Lewitt mural project at DFW airport and created an original mural in the permanent collection of the Texas Forestry Museum in Lufkin, Texas. She has also taught workshops at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, been a staff member at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, and shown her work in exhibitions throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth region.
