Career Coach

After earning a B.A. in Art Education from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, Marcy completed her Studio Art M.F.A. in CVAD. With an undergraduate background in teaching, she likes helping students by facilitating an environment where students can find and acknowledge their strengths to pursue their dreams.

About

Marcy Bishop-Lilley started her role as a career coach for the College of Visual Arts and Design in the Fall of 2019. Bishop-Lilley holds a bachelor’s degree in art education from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, North Carolina, in addition to her M.F.A. in Studio Art with a concentration in Painting and Drawing from UNT CVAD. Lilley is a mentor, practicing artist, and educator and has served in many roles within CVAD core drawing and design and as an assistant to the drawing program. Bishop-Lilley has held positions as a studio assistant to faculty and a woodshop assistant; she currently teaches art appreciation courses in Fort Worth, Texas.

Lilley has been featured in Canvas Rebel Magazine for her perspective on the unique aspects of career advising for art and design students.
