Ursula Williams currently serves as the Cross-Functional IT Support Supervisor for CVAD, where she manages both the Student Computer Lab and the IT Services Help Desk. She joined the college in 2014 as CVAD’s web developer and social media manager, bringing over a decade of experience in academic technology support. Prior to that, she spent 12 years as an electronic resources assistant at Texas Woman’s University, where she played a key role in launching the library’s first social media team — successfully aligning digital engagement with the library’s strategic goals and mission.
Since transitioning into her current role in 2021, Williams has continued to make a broad impact. She assists the department’s assistant dean for Information Technology in managing day-to-day operations and long-term planning for IT services, while also supervising student workers and staff across CVAD's IT Services, Computer Lab, and Photo Documentation Service. She has developed productivity tools used both within her department and across the college, and also serves on the University’s Unified Helpdesk Team. Her strong blend of technical expertise, communication skills, and higher education experience has significantly enhanced both student services and institutional operations.
Williams earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 2001 from Stephen F. Austin State University, Nacogdoches, Texas. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, attending concerts, riding her motorcycle, and spending time outdoors — pursuits that reflect her adventurous and creative spirit.
