James "Jim" Burton

Jim Burton lives and works in Denton, Texas. He earned a B.F.A. in Art from Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia, and his M.F.A. in Studio Art: Drawing and Painting at the University of North Texas. He exhibits work nationally and internationally. Burton is a former board member of 500X Gallery and serves as the faculty advisor to the Painting and Drawing Association, a student organization in the College of Visual Arts and Design.
