Areas of Expertise: Painting and drawing, installation, video, sound, lighting, wood and material construction.

Jim Burton lives and works in Denton, Texas. He earned a B.F.A. in Art from Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Ga., and his M.F.A. in Studio Art: Drawing and Painting at the University of North Texas. He exhibits work nationally and internationally. Jim is a former board member of 500X Gallery and serves as the faculty advisor to the Painting and Drawing Association, a student organization in the College of Visual Arts and Design.
