NEXT STEPS: Apply to UNT; there is no separate admissions process for the College of Visual Arts and Design. Once you are admitted to UNT, you will be scheduled for an orientation. Btw, UNT Orientation is too important to miss — and university policy requires new and transfer students to attend. You will meet an academic advisor there to ask your questions, review your transcripts, talk about your goals and plans, and go over specific recommendations based on these things. IMPORTANT: If you have circumstances that prevent your attendance at Orientation, please contact the Transfer Orientation Office,
Note: Information about your CVAD area of interest is in this website — visit the links on this page to go right to it. Should you have questions not addressed here, please consult the UNT Catalog or the advisor you will see during your scheduled UNT Orientation.
A portfolio for any CVAD program is not accepted from incoming new or transfer students. An entry portfolio will be created from work completed in CVAD courses.
An advising appointment will take place during the UNT Orientation session. New freshmen and transfer students do not make appointments for advising until after completion of UNT Orientation when classified as a "continuing student."
